how many units of Botox for forehead?

Since it is not something everyone talks about; this question is most often asked by the patients. But on a serious note, how much Botox do we need?

For common areas where the skin wrinkles pretty easily, for example, the forehead, eye corners or laugh lines we might think that the same amount would work for all but that is not the case.  Each part has different requirements and the amount depends on it.

Botox are measured in units. So, we will see the amount according to the area in question.

First, let us talk about the forehead. A human forehead has two portions, right over the eyebrows to between the eyes is called a frown line. This part requires twenty units of Botox. Similarly, the second part is fuether up from the eyebrow to the hairline, called forehead lines. This portion also requires twenty units.

Apart from forehead we have wrinkles in the corner of the eye too. In that portion, each corner needs twelve units. Since we have two eyes so it will be a total of twenty-four units.

Is the amount standard for everyone?

These units are usually standard but depends on the gender and wrinkle status too. If we talk about men, they generally require more amount of botox than a woman would since they have stronger muscles on the face.

How does Botox work?

The phenomenon is based on paralysis. Botox temporarily blocks or paralyses the muscles. They go in relaxation mode thereby stopping the wrinkle formation.

How often do you need botox injections?

The results of this treatment will not last for a lifetime. You will get back to the chair in the face of that needle within three to four months as the results start to fade away.

Botox procedure

The process of getting botox is pretty simple. The cosmetic fillers are filled in the syringe and injected in the neuromuscular tissue. This process does not qualify as an invasive surgery so the risk is less. Its fast and there is no need for downtime.

Not only botox but other aesthetic procedures can be coupled with it to enhance the results. Facial treatments, lasers work well with this.
